One of the most widely celebrated figures in the contemporary art world, Tiravanija has pioneered participatory practices that reshaped how institutions consider audience, social connection, and art objects themselves. Famous for transforming everyday actions into art by centring process over outcome, Tiravanija invites audiences to participate in ordinary social acts such as eating, playing, and talking – placing emphasis on the human connections that arise.
